Bringing your books across
- Export from Goodreads or StoryGraphBoth give you a CSV from their own settings. Goodreads is Import/Export, StoryGraph is Manage Your Data.
- Drop the file inSettings, then Import. No password, no account connection, nothing to authorise. The file is all we touch.
- Your ratings and dates come with youStar ratings, read dates, review text and your shelves arrive as lists. A thousand-book library takes about a minute.

What you can record about a book
Want to read, currently reading or read, plus start and finish dates, quarter-star ratings (because 3.75 is sometimes the truest answer), a mood, and how fast it felt.
- Progress by page, percent or minutes, logged per day. Re-reads are kept as their own entry with their own dates and rating, so reading something again adds to your history instead of overwriting it.
- Lists, as many as you like, organised however you like. A single list can hold books, films, shows and games together.

What it does that a book tracker usually does not
Book clubs and buddy reads with nomination, voting, and threads gated by where each person is, so a discussion of chapter twenty is not visible to someone on chapter three.

Tracking books, films, TV and games is free, along with lists, search, clubs, buddy reads, imports and the annual Rewind. Premium is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year and adds deeper analytics, the monthly Rewind, custom themes and supporter perks.

Questions
- Can I import from Goodreads?
- Yes, from its CSV export, during onboarding or later from settings. StoryGraph too.
- Does it work on desktop and on a phone?
- Yes. Voluta is a web app first, so it runs in any browser on any device, and it installs to the home screen as a Progressive Web App on both Android and iOS. There is also a Voluta app on the iOS App Store.
- Is it free?
- Tracking, lists, search, clubs, buddy reads, imports and the annual Rewind are free.
- Do I have to pay to import from Goodreads?
- No. Goodreads and StoryGraph CSV imports are free, and always will be. Charging to leave another app would be a strange way to ask someone to switch.
- What happens to books I rated but never finished?
- They arrive with their rating and their status intact. Did-not-finish is a real status here rather than a gap in your year.
- Can I keep my reviews?
- Yes. Review text comes across with the rating and the date it was written.
- Does it handle the same book twice?
- Yes. A reread is its own entry with its own dates and rating, so the first time you read something is not overwritten by the second.
