Game tracker

Voluta tracks games with the same seriousness as everything else you finish, including the ones you do not finish.

Bringing your games across

  1. Paste your Steam IDA Steam64 id, a vanity name or your profile URL. It reads your public profile and nothing else, so there is no password and no login.
  2. Your playtime comes with itGames you have played arrive marked played with their hours. Untouched ones go to your backlog.
  3. Re-import wheneverNew games and fresh hours top up rather than duplicating what is already there.

How games are tracked

Want to play, playing, played or dropped, with hours logged per session rather than one lifetime total, quarter-star ratings, and a mood.

  • Dropped is a deliberate status rather than an absence. Giving up on a game is a verdict worth keeping, and it still counts towards your year.
  • Replays are their own entry with their own dates and rating.

Between runs

Not a separate app

Games share lists, search, streaks, analytics and Rewind with your books, films and TV, so a winter backlog is one list rather than a game tracker plus three other things.

What it costs

Tracking books, films, TV and games is free, along with lists, search, clubs, buddy reads, imports and the annual Rewind. Premium is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year and adds deeper analytics, the monthly Rewind, custom themes and supporter perks.

Questions

Can I import my Steam library?
Yes, with playtime, and it is free. Every import is: paste a Steam ID and the games you have played arrive marked played with their hours.
Does it track how long I played?
Yes, per session rather than as one lifetime number, so a game you come back to a year later shows both stretches.
Do I need to give you my Steam password?
No. It reads your public profile, which is why a Steam64 id or a profile link is all it asks for. There is nothing to log in to and nothing to revoke.
What about games I bought and never played?
They arrive in your backlog with zero hours, which is the honest place for them.
Are console games supported?
Yes, any game in the catalogue can be tracked by hand. The Steam import is the automated path, not the only one.
