<div><spoiler> While it eventually felt in character, I didn’t enjoy Wulfgar’s conflict with Cattie-Brie, nor her romantic spark with Drizzt. As I read the book, it got easier to manage, but it felt like a slap in the face to all of Wulfgar’s character development in earlier books. His death, however, was incredibly well-written and felt right for the character. </spoiler> Drizzt felt more negative, world weary, and even a bit cruel in the tone of the book. It wasn’t too drastic a change, though, and seemingly was “fixed” midway. Still a great story!</div>
